Robin has been described as an expert in most operating and strategic aspects of the branded sports, recreation, outdoor and active lifestyle industries. His senior operating and transaction experience in this arena spans over 35 years.
Besides M&A projects, over the past 8 years, Robin has been an active board member and strategic leader for Keen Footwear and Chrome bags, footwear and apparel.
His hands-on experience in consumer products includes personal care, footwear, apparel, accessories and equipment responsibilities for major brands as well as for a publicly traded e-tailer. He was the EVP of Strategy and Development for the online pioneer Fogdog.com; the General Manager for Mizuno Sports; VP of Marketing for Avia Athletic Footwear (div. Reebok); VP/General Manager for Donner Mountain (div. Reebok); and the Director of Marketing for Cutter Laboratories (div. Miles Labs/Bayer). He is currently founder and managing partner of Sport Ventures, LLC (www.sportventuresllc.com), a leading intermediary for M&A, Biz Dev. and capital raising transactions in outdoor, sports and active lifestyle industries.
Robin is an innovative, entrepreneurial leader who has successfully led companies through fast growth phases while applying pragmatic business practices. He holds an MBA (Marketing & Finance) degree from Wharton and a BA degree (Economics) from Occidental College. Robin is active on the Boards of Keen Inc., Chrome Industries and Fuerst Group, Inc.
